You are looking at the 3rd and last of a series of completely handcrafted, hand-engraved hobo nickels that have been created for the 2014 holidays by the artist “Z” Al Garr.

He uses a variety of self-learned techniques and homemade engraving tools to fabricate these unique coins. Hours of meticulous work and effort are dedicated to the design and creation of each of his coins. Every coin made by “Z” is uniquely initialed and dated on the reverse of the coin.

This particular coin is a 1937 Buffalo Nickel that has been artistically transformed into a classic, collectable, “hobo” nickel to celebrate the Holidays and features the depiction of the infamous character “The Grinch.” This coin has been titled “I Simply Must Hear”

Included is a laminated Certificate of Authenticity signed by “Z” thoroughly describing the coin and indicating the purchase date, and as always, every coin made by “Z” comes in a complimentary coin holder.” Click for more →
